Chapter One
Two Strangers, One Swipe
We met on Hinge. It all started with a single swipe between two strangers who had no idea how much their lives were about to change.
What should have taken months happened in just a few days. Every conversation felt effortless, every reply came naturally, and before we even realized it, we had gone from 0 to 100.
It was as if we'd unknowingly pressed the fast-forward button on our story.
Within a week, we were no longer strangers trying to make conversation. We had already become part of each other's daily routine. Good mornings turned into long conversations, random moments became reasons to text, and silence was never an option.
Neither of us planned for things to move that quickly. They just... did. And somehow, it felt completely natural.
Chapter Two
Becoming Comfortable
As the days passed, our conversations became deeper. You started opening up emotionally and felt comfortable sharing things with me. Instead of staying at the surface, we talked about thoughts, worries, and the small details of daily life.
This was the phase where trust quietly started growing.
And somewhere in between, I started doing little things to make you smile. Postcards, edited photos, sweet messages, cute surprises. Nothing grand. Just enough to say I was thinking about you.
Chapter Three
Falling Faster Than Expected
One thing that stood out was how naturally everything progressed. Both of us noticed things were moving pretty quickly. You even mentioned being scared because of how fast it was all happening.
Instead of slowing down out of fear, I told you the truth: sometimes when two people genuinely connect, time simply flies.
I wasn't chasing something temporary. I was already imagining a future.
Chapter Four
The First Storm
No relationship grows without misunderstandings. Some insecure moments came along the way, a guy standing a little too close with his hand behind you, you going out with your male friends, a few debates about where my attention should be. And if I'm honest, there were times I didn't handle our misunderstandings well either.
Instead of just sitting with it, I started actually saying what I felt instead of letting it build up. And looking back, most of it came from my own insecurity, not anything you actually did.
So I apologized. Sincerely. Not just with words.
I built a whole website with a button, because I wanted it to feel genuine, not ordinary.
That moment became a turning point. It showed I was willing to admit I was wrong instead of letting my ego win.
Chapter Five
Learning Each Other
After that misunderstanding, our communication got healthier. We learned more about each other's insecurities and fears, how to reassure one another, and how much honest conversations actually matter.
I also got to understand more of your world, including the parts of home that weren't always easy, and it helped me understand you more deeply than before.
That's what it means to really know someone.
Chapter Six
Where We Are Today
Right now, we're somewhere in between, past the beginning, but nowhere close to done. I fall for you a little more every day, and honestly, I don't think that's going to stop anytime soon.
We've talked about what this even is. Called it a few different things. An exclusive situationship, at one point. Something that already felt a lot closer to dating, if we're honest.
But a label wasn't going to change itself over text. If I wanted this to actually become a dating phase, I had to show up. So I did. I came to meet you in person and took you out on a ride.
I'll admit I was nervous at first. (Mostly Mummy Ji's stare, let's be honest. I don't think I've ever been X-rayed that thoroughly in my life. 😅) But that lasted all of ten minutes. After that it was just easy, like we'd been doing this for years.
And no, I am never letting the tractor thing go. Ever. 😂
We're still learning each other. How you carry a hard day, how I carry being unsure, what reassurance sounds like when either of us needs it.
But compared to two strangers on a swipe, we've built something real. Something ours.
And now, there's one more thing I want to ask.
tap a star to revisit that chapter
Every story starts with a swipe.
Ours became a home.
before I ask you anything
My Dearest Licku, ❤️
Somewhere between our endless conversations, playful teasing, late-night calls, and the little moments that slowly fast became my favorite part of every day... you found a place in my heart (yeah, captured all of my 4 chambers 😂)
Okay... "slowly" is definitely a lie. 😂
But let's be honest... I told you I loved you in 10 days. So much for taking it slow.
I don't think there was one big moment when I fell for you. It was a hundred tiny ones, like a message that made me smile, a random laugh, a conversation I never wanted to end, and the way every day somehow felt incomplete until I heard from you.
Before I even realized it, you had become the person I looked forward to talking to the most.
What I love about you isn't just your smile or the way you make me smile. It's the comfort you bring. Being with you has never felt complicated (sometimes at first it did, because I didn't know you much). But now it just feels... right.
I still remember being on that island trip and unexpectedly missing you so much that I ended up calling you every single day. That's when I realized just how important you've become to me.
With you, silence never feels awkward, conversations never feel forced, and time somehow flies faster than it should. You make ordinary moments feel special just by being there.
It's funny to think that one Hinge swipe brought us here. If someone had told me that day I'd find someone who would become such an important part of my life, I probably would've laughed.
But here we are.
No matter what life brings, I hope we always keep the things that made us "US"... the teasing, the endless calls, the laughter, and the comfort of simply being ourselves with each other.
Because I've realized something...
Home isn't always a place.
Sometimes, it's a person.
And I'm pretty lucky I found mine.
Forever yours,
Chinu ❤️
chapter seven, maybe?
Will you be mine, Licku?
